From the moment I discovered mandala dot painting in 2022, I found every aspect of it so intriguing and so very beautiful. It instantly spoke to me.
For two months I spent every free moment voraciously learning this exquisite, spiritual, ancient art form, discovering other mandala artists, studying their work, watching videos and reading books. I loved the depth, the history, and the multicultural aspect of both mandalas and dot painting. The postman became my best friend, as I ordered tools, and paints, and molds, and plaster, and everything I needed to embark on this new-found love affair.
As friends saw my work, I frequently heard, “How beautiful! Please teach me!” Or, “How cool! Can you create a gift for my friend/mom/sister?” With that encouragement, Inspired Dot Artistry (my teaching mantle) and Suzanne Marie Art (my personal gallery) came to be.
Painting mandalas brings me joy, peace, focus, as well as a sense of calm and a feeling of accomplishment. To me, mandala dot painting is the perfect blend of organization and creativity. It melds my love of order and symmetry with my artistic, creative side into one incredibly satisfying journey; a journey I love sharing with others. I invite you to join me in this exploration of creating calm and inviting joy.
